¿Qué es ser hoy un barra brava?

En la actualidad existen cada vez más grupos violentos identificados como barra bravas. En la mayoría de los clubes es común la presencia de más de uno, cuyos integrantes por intereses particulares.
  Los resultados deportivos, la historia de cada club, las rivalidades con opuestos y con policías llevadas al extremo y las concepciones racistas son también factores que producen en algunos hinchas y en los barra bravas la necesidad de manifestarse violentamente, porque este comportamiento es un medio fácil y hasta históricamente utilizado para demostrar quién es el más fuerte, el mejor. Además, la violencia resulta necesaria porque la ostentación de cicatrices y marcas son las prueba indiscutible de la participación en peleas y grescas, lo que afirma el honor y la fuerza del individuo o del grupo.
